LICHT|BILD|REALITÄT– Atlas
A collection of images under the topic of light from various areas of art and science history. Together with self made digital photographs they illuminate the relationship between reality and replica, reality and illusion. Every image is categorized in a digital image databank and made available on CD-ROM. A selection of computer prints of the pictures are arranged topically and associatively and presented on ten light boxes. The work is dedicated to Abi Warburg’s picture atlas MNEMOSYNE.
Presentations in context with the Aegina Academy 2003 were held in Museo Laografico in Aegina/Greece and in the Lentos - Museum zeitgenössischer Kunst / Linz, 2004.
