A compressionistic magazine

The first 100 editions were handed over to the Literaturhaus Wien as a permanent loan in December 1993 and are open to the public during opening hours.

The first 100 editions were exhibited between November 25th and December 9th, 1993 in echoraum Vienna as well as three other public venues (Reinigungsbad Hermanngasse / Cafe Nil / Filmcasino).

Excerpt from the project call for tender, April 1986:

1 Aim
1.1 Collection of materials of macro-cultural meaning.
1.2 Documentation of activities of macro-cultural meaning.
1.3 Design of an edition as an independent artwork under the aspect of macro-culture.

2 Content
2.1. Content: Texts, images, concepts, etc., which are awarded macro-cultural meaning by the author/publisher and the editorial staff.
2.2 An edition may be dedicated to a single or several themes.

3 Form
3.1 The format is A3. Apart from that there are no further limitations to the magazine. This also includes:
3.2 Portrait as well as landscape format are permitted.
3.3 Binding, folding (with larger formats) may be chosen arbitrarily as long as the appearance of the magazine remains in A3.

4 Design
4.1 The logo has to be placed on the first page. The logo has to be stamped.  The author/publisher has to provide adequate information on the logo. The categories “Nr.” and “Red.Nr.” are filled out by editorial staff.
4.3 Otherwise there are no limitations to the design.
